Nathaniel Luke, affectionately known as “Rat” and “Cool Breeze,” was born April 18, 1953 in Franklin, GA and he departed this life on April 3, 2024 following a brief illness. Nathaniel was 70 years old. He was proceeded in death by his father Floyd Luke, Sr., mother Julia Lewis Luke, brother Floyd Luke Jr., and sister Sherry Luke.
Nathaniel was educated at Mary Persons High School in Heard County and he worked for several years at West Point Stevens and Baily Construction Company. Rat, as many called him, loved nature and being outside. His favorite pass times included fishing at West Point Lake, hunting, gardening, and animals.
He was a CB radio enthusiast talking with truckers and drivers from across the country. This is when he created the CB handle “Cool Breeze” which many people called him until his death.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory, wife Mariline Fletcher Luke, four children, Daughters Tai (Lisa) Roberson (Chris), Dawn Luke Arnold (Tarris), and Latasha Luke. Son, Zerick Green Sr. (Shakelia). Sister Laura Luke and Brother Calvin Luke (Evaline). Eleven grandchildren: Porsha,
Lexus, Montero, Christian, Justin, Tyson, Skylar, Zerick Jr., Jordan, Zeke, and Zander, one great-granddaughter Cayman, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Repast condolence food offerings for the family will be received at the home of Carlos Luke 1209 Troup Street, LaGrange, Ga. 30241
