Jackson Brooks Wingate, age 80 of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday April 20, 2024 in the chapel of Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations, 39 Old Kings Rd., N., Palm Coast, FL 32137.

The family will receive friends for visitation before the service from Noon until 1 P.M.

Jackson was born on Feb. 20, 1944, in Troup County, Georgia to the late Herman Wingate & Helen (Johnson) Wingate.

He was a graduate of Hogansville High School in Hogansville, Georgia class of 1962,  After school, Jackson served in the U.S. Navy achieving the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. While in the Navy, Jackson continued his studies and upon his release from service worked as an electronics technician.

Jackson moved to Palm Coast in 2002, from St. Mary’s County, MD. He was a member of the Irish Social Club of Palm Coast as well as an avid gardener & music lover and he enjoyed dancing.

Jackson was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Ann Wingate and a brother, Charles Wingate.

He is survived by his wife, Pearline Wingate of Palm Coast, FL; a son, Jackson B. Wingate III of Leonardtown, MD; a daughter, Laura D. Wingate of Forest Hills, N.Y.; 2 grandchildren, Peyton Wingate & Jackson B. Wingate IV; a brother, Warren Wingate of Palm Coast, FL; 3 stepchildren Donna Woodruff, Laurie Reese &  Larry Woodruff Jr.; a very special niece, Linda Angresano of Palm Coast, Fl as well as many other extended family members & friends.
