LaGrange girls tennis dominates Cairo in opening round of the playoffs

The LaGrange girls tennis team hit the road on Wednesday for the opening round of the 4A state playoffs. The Grangers had no problems at Cairo, winning 3-0.

 

No. 1 Singles: Ana Rollings (LG) vs. Shimei Duvenhage (C) pulled with Rollings winning

1st set 6 – 4, and Duvenhage winning  2nd set 6 – 2

No. 2 Singles: Anna Claire Lumpkin (LG) defeated Sydney Humphries (C) 6 – 1, 6 – 1

No. 3 Singles: Dana Song (LG) vs. Jaden Addison (C) pulled with Song leading in the 1st set

5 – 2

No. 1 Doubles: Alisa Lee and Ava Wallace (LG) defeated Briana Folsom and Emma Harvey

(C) 6 – 3, 6 – 1

No. 2 Doubles: Madi Del Angel and Addison Adams (LG) defeated Riley Harden and

Madilyn Reneau (C) 6 – 1, 6 – 0

 

LaGrange will now await its second-round opponent. The boys will play in the second round at home against Southeast Bulloch on Thursday after getting a forfeit from Hardaway in the first round.
