Mr. Owen Heard Brown, 61, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Born Jan. 4, 1963, in LaGrange, Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Troup County, was a retired machinist, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a loving father, son, and brother and was loyal to his many lifelong friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Brown of Lineville, AL; step-son, Chase Hughes and his wife Jasmine of LaGrange; his mother, Lois Heard Smith of LaGrange; sister, Cindy Garrard of Peachtree Corners; and grandchildren, Ryan Hildebrant and Ridley Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arlin E. Brown; step-father, Charley D. Smith, Jr.; and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, April 22, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery, with Scott Atkins officiating.

The family will greet friends at the graveside.
