Police investigating death of 2 year old

On April 21, 2024, at 8:27 PM, LaGrange Police responded to the Cameron Crossing Apartment Complex (1600 Meadow Terrace, LaGrange, GA) about a missing child. Upon arrival, officers met with family members and were able to determine that a two and four year old had exited their apartment without an adult’s knowledge. The four year old child was located by a resident in the parking lot but the two year old had gotten separated from her sibling. Family members, residents, police, and fire personnel immediately began searching the area. Fire and police personnel located the two year old child in the complex swimming pool. Emergency medical aid was provided and the child was transported to Well Star West Georgia where she was later pronounced deceased. The case remains active and anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department.
