Mrs. Sybil Laylon Johnson Cole, age 95, of LaGrange, passed away on May 10, 2024.

Mrs. Cole was born on July 12, 1928, in Riverview, Alabama to the late Clarence Earl Johnson and Estelle Hopkins Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Cole, a son, David Alton Cole and a brother, Alton Johnson.

Survivors include her daughter, Joellen Cole “Jody” Rogers, and her husband Keith; son, James Melton Cole; grandchildren, Drew Cole, Reagan Cole (Tyler Cardwell) and Elizabeth Cole; extended family.

Services for Mrs. Cole will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11 A.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Private interment services will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
