Roy Olinger, Jr., 86, of LaGrange passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Roy was born to the late Roy Sr. and Dorothy A. Olinger in Pennsylvania.

In addition to his distinguished military career, he also served as Special Agent with the GBI and also Investigator with the District Attorney’s office.

His love of painting, fly-fishing, kayaking and swimming kept him busy.

His dedication to service and kindness will always be remembered and missed by so many…he touched many, many lives in a very special way.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy; sons, Michael, Jonathan (Kristin) and Robert; daughter, Regina; sister, Doreen (Bob); brothers, Brian (Judy) and Kenneth; grandchildren, Alex, Reed, Connor, Christopher (Danielle), Crystal (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Mason, Dawson, Autumn, Nicolai and Zachary; sisters-in-law, Martha and Katrine (Rusty), Stella and Missy, brother-in-law, Donnie (Cindy); many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 9,2024 at St. Andrews Anglican Church in West Point, Georgia with Fr. Tom Mills officiating.

Interment was on Friday, May 10,2024 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama.
