Yvonne Robinson White of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away peacefully Saturday, 18 May 2024, after an extended illness. 

She was 85.Yvonne is survived by her son, Randy White (Bridget) of Atwater, CA, daughter, ReGina Quarles (Tod) of Dacula Georgia; sister, Janice Stogner (James) of LaGrange; grandchildren, Melinda McCarthy (Jonathon) of Abeline TX, Samantha Verzosa (David) of Buford, Georgia, James White (Silvia) of Anchorage, Alaska, David White (Morgan) Kansas City, MO, Russ Quarles of Dacula, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Joel, Daniel, Pressly, Lea, Anthony, little John, Nicolas. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee White, her parents, Herman Robinson and Julia Crawford Robinson, and her sons Floyd Robinson White and Marvin Lee White, Jr.A native of LaGrange.

Yvonne was active in her local community for much of her adult life as a mother of four, small business owner, and participant in Troup County politics, even once having run for office.

Yvonne believed if you could read and understand, you could do anything, male or female did not matter.

She took great pleasure in organizing activities for her children and their friends, whether at home in Georgia or in Europe while her husband Lee was stationed in Germany for the U.S. Army. 

Later, she launched a successful career in the insurance industry, culminating as Owner and Agent of First LaGrange Insurance Agency before retiring and enjoying time traveling with her husband and being grand grandparents.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2 P.M. at the Restlawn Memory Gardens.  Family and friends will assemble at the graveside on Wednesday.
