Hatton Lovejoy Scholarship winners named

The Hatton Lovejoy Scholarship Committee has announced the winners of its annual scholarship. The committee awarded ten scholarships to outstanding local high school seniors who graduated this month.
All 10 of the students selected were in the top 5 percent of their class.
The students will receive $2,250 per semester of college attendance for four years if they maintain eligibility requirements.
The 2024 Hatton Lovejoy Scholars are:

Cadence Elise Davis (North Carolina State University)
Ivy Jane Doughman (Auburn University)
Chloe Caroline Greer (University of Georgia)
Hyun Caleb Hwang (Georgia Institute of Technology)
Lukas Michael Langston (Georgia Institute of Technology)
Alisa Ah-hyun Lee (Harvard University)
Bailey Blanchard Orr (University of Georgia)
Karsen Alan Pearson (Auburn University)
Avery Jane Upchurch (University of Georgia)
This is the 59th year for the Hatton Lovejoy Scholarship Plan, which was established by Fuller E. Callaway Foundation in memory of the late Hatton Lovejoy, a LaGrange attorney.
The value of the scholarships awarded this year is $180,000, and the total value of the scholarships awarded exceeds $6.7 million.
The Scholarship Committee is composed of Kim Bond, Nancy Stevens and Tripp Penn.
