Mrs. Eula Eagleson Boyin Darden passed away Tuesday.
She was born in the Antioch Community of LaGrange, Georgia on April 11, 1934, to the late John T. “Jake” Boykin, Sr. and Lady Juanita Williams Boykin.
She joined the Antioch Baptist Church at an early age; and upon her return to LaGrange in 1981, she united with First Baptist Church on Fannin Street.
“Granny”, as she was affectionately called, attended East Depot High School. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she lived for over twenty-five years. While in Cleveland, she continued to serve the Lord in her local church.
She retired from Interface Flooring Systems in 1999. After retirement, she became a Foster Grandparent in the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents Program at CAFI HeadStart until 2015.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joe and Shirley Cameron; three granddaughters; several great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Boykin; nieces, nephews, and relatives; special friends; and the Bell-line Community Neighbors.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, June 3, 2024, at Noon at First Baptist Church Fannin Street.
Dr. Clarence Sams will officiate.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Joe and Shirley Cameron at 107 Riverbluff Drive.
The excellent care of Mrs. Darden is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
