LAGRANGE – Five LaGrange High soccer players have been selected to play in the Southwest Georgia All-Star Soccer Game that will be held next week in Columbus.

The girls’ game will be held at 5:30 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Both games will be played on Tuesday at the Walden Soccer Complex on the campus of Columbus State.

Three members of the LaGrange girls’ team were selected to play in the game, including senior Reagan Peters, who earlier this spring signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Kennesaw State.

Also earning an invitation to play in the all-star game is senior Ellie Doerr, along with junior Catherine Patton.

Those three players helped LaGrange earn a spot in the state tournament with a third-place finish in Region 1-AAAAA.

Two members of the LaGrange boys’ team secured invitations to the all-star game.

Senior Matthew Thomas, a multi-year starter for LaGrange, and Yeison Diaz were both selected to play in the game.
