Callaway will put its region-title hopes on the line against rival Heard County on Friday in Franklin.

If Callaway beats Heard County, it will be the Region 5-AA champion, no matter what happens next week against Jordan in the regular-season finale.

Callaway is leading the region with a 4-0 record, and Heard County is 3-0.

Bremen, which lost to Callaway 37-25 in September, is 2-1 in the region, and it would remain in the title picture if Heard County wins today.

Bremen hosts Heard County on Nov. 2 on the final night of the regular season.

Callaway stayed perfect in the region with Saturday’s 30-7 win over Spencer.

While Callaway, Heard County and Bremen appear locked in to the top three spots, the region’s fourth and final playoff position is up for grabs.

Spencer, Lamar County and Jordan are all 1-2 in the region, and Temple is in last place at 0-4.

Jordan and Spencer play on the final night of the regular season in a game that could determine that final playoff spot.
