LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department today continued to search for a man accused of robbing another man at the LaGrange Memorial Library at 115 Alford St. about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police arrested two people near the scene of the incident. James Currier, 28, and Serenity Fallin, 18, were both taken into custody and charged with robbery by force.

Currier and a man identified as Mario Fannin, 19, allegedly attacked the victim by striking him several times in his face and body, police said. The suspects then allegedly stole the man’s cell phone and his jacket containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

Serenity Fallin was with the suspects when the incident occurred, investigators said.

LaGrange police officers canvassed the area near the incident, bringing out one of their K9 units to track up and down Harwell Avenue and Alford Street.

Investigators said Mario Fannin is still at large, but when caught he will also be charged with robbery by force.

Anyone with information about this incident was asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
