Thefts


A man from Church Hill Drive reported that in a phone scam, someone claimed to be from the IRS and threatened to send him to jail due to back taxes. Over $9,000 was sent to the unknown suspect.


Police responded to the 400 block of Union Street where a cab driver reported that two males stole his Crown Victoria “A-Cab” from his driveway.


Police responded to Walmart on New Franklin Street where an employee reported that a man was walking around the parking lot opening car doors and stealing items. The juvenile was arrested and all stolen items were returned back to the owners.


A woman from the 600 block of Borton Street reported that someone stole $300 dollars from her jacket pocket which was lying on her bed.


Deputies responded to the 2500 block of Whitesville Road where an unknown person stole over $500 worth of gas from a tractor trailer.


Deputies responded to the 100 East Mount Zion Church Road in reference to a theft. It is unknown what was stolen and its value.


Damages


Police responded to the 100 block of Turner Street where a juvenile reported that nine other juveniles under the age of 10 were outside his apartment kicking the front door and throwing sticks and pine cones at the balcony glass door. He stated that they were trying to fight another juvenile in the apartment. Total damages were about $100.


Arrest


Justin Henry, 26, of LaGrange was arrested in the 500 block of Revis Street on charges for resisting arrest and obstruction on a criminal trespassing citation.
