LaGrange police were investigating an incident in which a North Cary Street man allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her son Thursday. When police arrived at an apartment in the first block of North Cary Street where the three were living together, the man was lying on the floor, “in an apparent drunken state” with beer cans strewn about the floor around him, according to a police report. The woman told police the man had been arguing with her and her son and threatened to kill them with a knife. The son later told police he’d struck the man in the head when he threatened his mother. The man told police he was asleep on the floor when the mother and son started beating him. Because of the conflicting statements by the involved parties, police asked the subjects to take a polygraph, to which they all reportedly agreed. The incident was under continued investigation this morning. Mother ‘tired of it,’ calls police, reports brothers brawl A fight between three brothers lead a Whitesville Street mother to call police Thursday morning after she was “tired of it,” according to a police report. The mother told police that her 17-year-old son was starting fights with his 15-year-old and 12-year-old brothers over a missing mobile phone. At one point, according to the mother, the 17 year old strangled one of his brothers. No one was taken to the hospital, according to a police report. The 17-year-old son allegedly fled the home before police arrived, but officers advised the mother to call 911 if he returns. The 17 year old could faces charges of disorderly conduct, the report said.
