Dear Editor,

I would like to approach you with the topic of Boy Scouts. We here in Troop 326, along with other troops, are starting Boy Scouts again – after summer break – and would like to promote kids to join the BSA (Boy Scouts of America).

The BSA is a good learning experience for kids and teens. Parents of scouts will get involved with the activities and have quality time with their children on camp-outs or at summer camp.

I speak from experience. I am a Life Scout and about to work on my Eagle project. I have been in scouting for six years and have enjoyed all the time so far. I and other scouts hope you will promote scouting in Troup County.
