A 17-year-old male allegedly joyriding in a stolen car is facing the consequences behind bars alone Wednesday morning.

LaGrange police said the teen was one of the passengers in a 2013 black Ford Fusion that was reported stolen around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Wright Street. According to the driver, three black males forced him inside the vehicle and made him drive to Chattahoochee Street, where they made him get out. The driver told police one of the males held a gun to his head the entire time.

According to the police report, a relative of the owner reported spotting the car around 12:30 a.m. today in the 400 block of the Lucy Morgan Homes.

When the officer arrived in the area, three subjects fled from the vehicle near Brown and Smoot streets into a heavily wooded area, the officer reported.

One officer caught a suspected passenger, the 17 year old, running along a fence in the 600 block of Borton Street. The teen allegedly told police the driver of the car told him to run, so he did.
