2 women charged with hindering arrest

LaGRANGE — Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday afternoon they arrested two women for allegedly preventing deputies from capturing a wanted man.

TCSO Chief Investigator Capt. Mike Caldwell said Jeanine Easley, 50, and Megan Swann, 19, both from Troup County, are charged with felony hindering the apprehension of a criminal.

According to Caldwell, both women hindered law enforcement in arresting a man wanted for kidnapping, armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Easley and Swann are in the Troup County Jail arranging bond.
