‘Bozo’ strikes woman
A woman declined to prosecute a man after he allegedly hit her in the face during an argument on Elm Street on Monday night.
Police responded to the 1500 block of Elm Street after the woman called 911, but found witnesses unwilling to cooperate, according to a police report.
The woman said the man, whom she knew only as “Bozo,” struck her in the face and fled the area after the altercation. A witness separated the two after the fight broke out.
The officer photographed the woman and issued her a case card.
Man cited for drunkenness
A minor was cited for underage consumption of alcohol Monday morning after a LaGrange police officer spotted him walking down Lafayette Parkway shortly after 2 a.m.
The officer stated in his report that he stopped to check on the man and could smell alcohol on the man’s breath. The 20 year old allegedly admitted to drinking and submitted to a test; he blew a 0.04 blood alcohol level, the report states.
The officer cited the man and transported him to his home.
