Men rob delivery driver at gunpoint outside LaGrange apartment complex

A robber approached and pointed a gun at the head of a man delivering pizza to Tall Pines Apartments at 150 Turner St. about 11 p.m. Friday.

The delivery driver said he was approaching the F1 building at the complex when the robber pointed the gun at him. Three more armed males then came into the breezeway from around the back corner of the building.

The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Officers checked the area but couldn’t find any suspects.

The robbers were described as young black males between 16 and 19 years old. One was described as short, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6, and 140 to 150 pounds.

The LaGrange Police Department is asking residents who live in the Tall Pines Apartments area to contact 911 if they see anyone suspicious or who does not live in the apartment complex loitering in the breezeways or in the area.

In another incident, two people were robbed Saturday evening in front of a LaGrange business after three masked men approached them, one with a pistol.

The victims told police they were leaving Mi Pueblito market and taqueria at 310 Greenville St. when the robbers, wearing red bandanas around their faces, approached about 7:45 p.m. They took cash from the victims and fled.

Officers and a police K9 checked the area, but couldn’t locate any suspects.

Drugs found

A man reported finding a bag sitting on the ground in the first block of North Cary Street and checked it, finding drugs inside. An officer said the drugs appeared to be crystal methamphetamine. Police took the bag into evidence.

Burglary

A resident of the 1000 block of Elm Street reported that a burglar broke into the home and stole a 42-inch TV and PlayStation 4 video game system.

Entering auto

A thief entered a truck parked in the 400 block of Nashua Drive and stole a jacket valued at $40, purse valued at $30 and $600 cash.
