A vandal threw a rock that shattered a woman’s sliding glass door at Tall Pines Apartments, 150 Turner St., early this morning.

A woman who said she was staying at her sister’s apartment reported to police about 2:45 a.m. that she heard someone trying to open a door. Shortly after, the rock crashed through the glass door, which leads to a porch. She didn’t see anyone outside. Her sister, who resides in the apartment, told police she suspected an ex-boyfriend.

Damage was estimated at more than $500.

Police found no suspects in the area.

Burglary

A resident of the 500 block of Bryant Lake Boulevard said a burglar entered his home between 4:30 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, ransacked the home and took about $1,000 in jewelry and $50 cash. The resident told police a door may not have properly locked, allowing someone to push it open.
