Charlie Kenneth Pike, 78, of Franklin, GA passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home. He was born October 29, 1937 in Heard County, GA to the late Isaac Pike and Sara Lee Tillerman. Mr. Pike proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Big Red One and was a member of Franklin Methodist Church. He retired from his first place of employment, the State of Georgia Department of Transportation as an Engineer #2 in the LaGrange office, after 34 years and then retired after 11years from Franklin Department of Transportation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Inez and Amos Abner, Agnes and Noah Daniel, Hope and Gleamer Pike, Amos and Mozelle Pike, Dorothy and James Smith, Johnny Pike, Wade Pike; father-in-law, Emmett “Bill” Brazeal; mother-in-law, Edna Estell Dobbs Brazeal; brother-in-law, John Cosper; sisters-in-law, Janell Pike, Reba Crowe; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Racheal and James Irwin.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Ann Brazeal Pike; daughter, Sara Lynn (David Lee) Cohen; two grandsons, Matthew Kendall and Jacob Lee; sister, Nina Jo Cosper; brother, Wayne Pike; sisters-in-law, Sybil Pike, Carolyn Pike, Billie Faye Brazeal, Louis Kirby; brothers-in-law, Thomas A. Crowe and Billy Ray Brazeal; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, countless cousins, other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be 5:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Scott Hannar officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin City Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Research in memory of Charlie Kenneth Pike.
