A woman was allegedly robbed at gunpoint as she entered her car in the parking lot of the Food Depot at 908 Hogansville Road around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The victim told investigators with the LaGrange Police Department she had just placed her groceries in the trunk of her car and got into the driver’s seat when two men approached her.

The suspects pulled the vehicle door open and placed a handgun on the victim’s chest, the police report stated. The men then demanded the woman give them her purse.

After a brief struggle, the suspects were able to grab the purse from the victim and ran from the area, according to the report.

The woman was not hurt during the incident.

LaGrange police are investigating.
