Rape reported on college campus

Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department are investigating a sexual assault that allegedly happened on the campus of LaGrange College at 601 Broad Street.

The victim told investigators the assault occurred on Saturday, April 29.

LaGrange police did not release further details.

Man attacked for prescription pills

One man claimed an acquaintance punched him several times in a parking lot behind the Benjamin Harvey Housing Authority off Whitesville Road Monday night.

The victim told LaGrange police officers he and a friend were walking through the lot when they were approached by the acquaintance and two unknown men.

The suspect allegedly asked the victim for Percocet, the report stated.

When the victim told the man he did not have any pills, the suspect reportedly punched him, according to the report.

LPD officers noted the victim had a busted lip, four of his teeth knocked out and severe swelling on the left side of his face, the report read.

The suspect and his two friends reportedly walked away after the attack, the victim told police.

The case was forwarded to detectives with LPD’s Criminal Investigation Unit.

Unwanted guest crawls over table into house

A woman called 911 after her ex-boyfriend broke into her home in the 900 block of Baldwin Street around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The man reportedly entered through a back window and crawled across a table – where another man was sitting at the time, according to the report.

The witness told LaGrange Police he was sitting at the kitchen table and saw the window open. He then stated the intruder crawled through the window and across the table without speaking to him, the report stated.

Officers were able to take the unwanted guest into custody.

The man was charged with criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act and resisting arrest.

Damaged vehicle

A woman told LaGrange police officers her Chevrolet Equinox was damaged by a dump truck while they were both traveling on South Davis Road.

The woman stated the truck hit a bump causing several large pieces of rock to hit her SUV, the report said.

Officers noticed the SUV had a large dent on the hood, left rear panel and on the front fender.

Police are investigating.
