Thoughts from a Trumpster

Dear Editor,
Those Trump haters, what do they stand for? They tell us what they’re against. They’re anti-second amendment, anti-law and order, anti-border control, anti-military, anti-Christian, anti-Israel, anti-states’ rights, anti-tax cuts, anti-traditional marriage, anti-protection and preservation of life and anti-Trump. But what are they for? And why call those who don’t agree with them such nasty names?
Yes, I’m white. God chose to make me that way. I’m also Christian, of my choosing. I accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and accept his grace as the only means of salvation. It’s through Him. There is no other way.
I’m a patriotic, law-abiding Air Force veteran who strongly supports our military, police, firemen and other “first responders.” I believe in “America first” and in “free, but fair trade.” And I support the working men and women of our great nation who build things and repair things and then pay much of what they earn to support those who don’t. So, you’ve probably guessed I voted for Donald Trump. We’ve sent enough talkers to Washington, and for once had the chance to elect a doer.
Because of these personal traits and beliefs, I’m judged and branded “racist” or “white supremacist” by Hollywood, most of academia, the mainstream media and most Washingtonians who pass judgment with no factual support.
Those same people brand me “bitter clinger,” since I own a gun, in fact, several. I also own and read the Holy Bible, believing it to be the inspired Word of God.
Yes, the killing of the unborn is sinful, marriage is the uniting of one man to one woman, and we’re born either male or female.
I still love all those politically correct liberals who define marriage differently, and those who think they, rather than God, can determine sex. I just happen to not agree with them. I support the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, believing that less government is best government, and fewer bureaucratic regulations with lower taxes equals more freedom. Add it all up. Politically correct liberals brand us and our president as white supremacists, racists and crazy, right-wing conservatives. Still, we’re commanded by our Lord to love Him and all of those name callers with all of our hearts. But we aren’t commanded to agree with them when facts and logic tell us they’re wrong. And we sure don’t have to hang out with them. Unless they’re family, of course!
