George L. Cook passed away Sunday.

He was born July 17, 1953, in Franklin, Georgia to the late, George and Johnnie Mae Cook.

George was educated in the Heard County and Troup County School Systems and was previously employed by Knight and Knight Construction Company, Troup County School System and the Averette Company.

Survivors include sisters Diane Heard, Helen (Jerome) Tucker and Gail Cook; brother, Ben Cook, all of LaGrange; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifetime special friends.

The service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
