Mr. M. L. “Marty” Street, Jr., age 83, of LaGrange passed away Jan. 17, 2018.

He was interred beside his parents following a private ceremony at Centralhatchee First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Street was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Heard County to the late M. L. “Mack” Street, Sr. and Mary Eliza Potts Street. He was a Baptist by faith.

He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked as a foundry worker for Chrysler Automotive, and was a member of the United Auto Workers.

He had a special love for his cats, especially Eddie, a cat he rescued that had only three legs.

Survivors include: nine nieces and nephews, a number of grandnieces and grandnephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Alyne Taylor Street, and three sisters: Emma Jean Brand Cipolla, Mozelle Forbus and Geneva Yates.
