Arthur James Ogletree

Arthur James Ogletree passed away Saturday.

He was born July 14, 1925, in Harris County, Georgia; the son of the late, Mr. Sam and Mrs. Maybelle Ogletree.

He retired as a bulldozer operator after many years of service at Vance Smith Construction.

Survivors include his children, Ruby Mae (Jerry) Gunn of Mountville, Georgia; Earnestine (George) Cannon, Annie Mae (Michael) Motin of LaGrange, Georgia;Paulett Ogletree of Mountville, Georgia; Sammie Lee (Fannie) Ogletree of LaGrange, Georgia; Calvin (Eina) Ogletree, Greenville, Georgia; Cecil Ogletree, LaGrange, Georgia; Bobby Lee (Gina) Ogletree, LaGrange, Georgia; two adopted sons, Curtis Harrison and George Harrison; adopted daughter, Betty Tucker; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters,  Lena Chaney of Columbus, Georgia and Pauline Ogletree of Pine Mountain, Georgia; three sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his special friends that loved and cared for him so much at WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

The service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church.
