Mr. Joseph Cheek

Joseph Kolten Cheek, 22, of LaGrange, passed away on Feb. 25, 2018, in an automobile accident.

Joseph, born March 16, 1995, was the beloved son of Cara Lawley Fields and Milton Lee Cheek Jr. He was a welding student at West Georgia Technical College and graduate of LaGrange High School.

He is survived by his partner, Colby Pike; sons, “Peanut” Richard Kolten Cheek (3) and Miller Lee Cheek (18 months), both parents and stepfather Tracy Fields (LaGrange), paternal grandmother Alene Cheek (Hogansville) and maternal grandparents Joseph and Rebecca Lawley (Franklin), sister Bowen Cheek (Acworth), as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Milton Lee Cheek Sr.

“Jo” was an avid outdoorsman, and a most devoted father, loving son and loyal friend.

The service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Flowers welcomed.  Reception to follow at 214 Gordon Street.
