Mrs. Shannon Leigh Smith Thompson, age 50, of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away on April 9, 2018, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Thompson was born on July 8, 1967, in Wedowee, Alabama to Wesley David Smith, Jr. and Linda McCard Smith.  Her parents survive her as well as her husband of 20 years, Wade Lamar Thompson; children, Will Jacob Thompson and Justin David Smith; grandchild, Gage Michael Smith; sister, Candy Lynn Burton and Brian Burton; brother-in-law, Jeffery Todd Thompson; extended family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Craig Williams officiating.

Family will received friends from 1 p.m. on Wednesday until service hour at the funeral home.
