LaGrange police are still investigating after a fight ended with gunshots Monday evening. According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, a bullet was discovered in a home and a fight occurred outside residences on the 900 block of Greenville Street.

Residents of the home told police no one was there at the time of the incident. Witnesses told police about the fight that occurred in a yard.

“As a part of that fight someone fired several shots. One of those shots hit one of the houses, and I think two or three more shots hit a second house there,” said LPD Lt. Dale Strickland.

According to the press release, two separate vehicles fled the area after the fight.

The victim who was shot at was later found, but refused to cooperate with police, Strickland said.

“We got a report later on indicating that the house had been shot. Their investigation revealed that there had been a fight,” Strickland said.
