LaGrange PD investigates armed robbery at gas station

The LaGrange Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at the Summit gas station on Commerce Avenue. According to a LPD press release, a gas station employee was checking gas pumps around 3:45 a.m. when three men wearing dark clothes and masks approached the store on foot.

The employee told police that the men had handguns and demanded he open the register. According to the press release, the men took an undisclosed amount of currency and cigars before fleeing on foot.

The employee described the men as African American males in their late teens and/or early 20s.
