Rachel Weathers Butler of Monroe passed away on Aug. 11, 2018, at the age of 66. 

She was born in Monroe, Georgia, on Sept. 3, 1951, to the late Jesse William Weathers and the late Mary Lucile Hogan.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, the late Donna Sue Smith, the late Rebecca Ann Wallace, the late Pauline Weathers; brother, the late Johnny Paul Weathers.

Ms. Butler was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dena and David Helfrich of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Rebekah Butler of LaGrange, Georgia; grandchildren, Emily Ann Butler, Dillon Butler, Dakota Butler, Cheyenne Butler, Robbie Clay, Joseph Clay, April York, Jacob Clay; great grandchildren, Brenleigh Clay, Ryder York, Bennett Arrington, Mason York.

A funeral service will be held on Aug. 14, 2018, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Butler officiating.
