Arthur Isham Wright, 74, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Sept. 5, 2018, at his home surrounded by family after an extended illness.

Mr. Wright was born May 25, 1944, in Manchester, Georgia, the son of Jacob Bradford and Princess Alma Allen Wright. He was very active in his church serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church, Manchester for many years and then later as Sunday school teacher at Rosemont Baptist Church in LaGrange. He also enjoyed spending time with family and taking walks around his property.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lenita Shivers of Manchester. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Parrott Wright of LaGrange; his daughter, Aleisa (Jimmy) Garrett of LaGrange; son, Brian (Suzanne) Wright of LaGrange; and four grandchildren, Jase (Chasity) Garrett of LaGrange, Jenna (Piet) Garrett of Ghent, Belgium, Rebecca Wright of Panama City Beach, Florida and Jacob Wright of LaGrange; brother Bradford (Sylvia) Wright, Jr. of Woodbury, sister, Nadra (Leonard) Pilkinton of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Manchester, Georgia with interment to follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church sanctuary prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Isham Wright to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
