Shots fired into LaGrange residences

Two residences were shot into in separate incidents Thursday and Saturday

No injuries were reported after a house was shot into on the 300 block of Carver Street Thursday around 12:30 p.m. One of the residents told police he had an argument with a stranger who entered the house.

The resident told police while they were arguing, the suspect put his hand in his pocket and began pulling out a pistol. The resident said he then pulled his own gun out on the suspect, which prompted the suspect to leave.

After he left, the resident told police he and a friend were in a back room when they heard several shots. According to the police report, another resident was in bed when shots were fired in his bedroom. That resident told police two shots went through his bedroom wall and struck ceiling tiles.

In a separate incident, on Saturday around 2 a.m. officers responded to a report that shots were fired into a residence on the 100 block of Old Airport Road. According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, residents reported hearing three gun shots being fired from outside their apartment with one of the bullets penetrating the bedroom window and one penetrating a sliding glass door.

LPD officers found three shell casings in the area.
