Man arrested after using hammer in robbery attempt

A man was arrested after attempting to rob a Summit Store on Vernon Road with a hammer Sunday night. According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, Ravon Woods approached a store clerk with a hammer wrapped in a bag, said it was a gun and demanded money.

Woods is charged with criminal attempt armed robbery.
