Man wanted for armed robbery, aggravated assault turns himself in

A man wanted for his alleged involvement in a shooting last month turned himself in to the LaGrange Police Department Thursday evening. LaGrange resident Manquavious Jartarvi Jones, 18, was wanted after allegedly taking part in an armed robbery and shooting on Beeman Street on Dec. 16, 2018.

Officers found the victim of the shooting semi-conscious and with a gunshot wound to his back on his neighbor’s porch, according to an LPD press release. The victim was treated at a hospital.

LPD Det. Andrea Scott said Jones turned himself in.

According to Troup County Jail arrest/release records, Jones is charged with aggravated assault gun, robbery street gun and possession of a firearm or knife during certain felonies. He has no bonds.
