Eddie Battle, Jr. passed away on Sunday.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1931, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Edgar Lee Battle and Dove Cameron Battle. He was a member of St. James, graduated from East Depot High School, and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his children, Edgar (Frances) Battle of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ethelyn (Grady) Hudson of Union City, Georgia; Mildren (Gregory) Graham of Milledgeville, Georgia; and Bessie (Huel) Battle-Williams of Douglasville, Georgia; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. James CME Church. The excellent care of Mr. Battle is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
