LPD Animal Services recovers 10 animals in hoarding investigation

On Wednesday, the LaGrange Police Department’s Animal Services recovered 10 animals in a hoarding investigation on Johnson Street. The animals include eight cats and kittens and two dogs.

Animal services crews worked with LPD Code Enforcement, LPD Community Outreach, City Community Development, Troup County Marshall’s Office and Hogansville Police on this investigation on Johnson Street in LaGrange.

Investigators say conditions in the house are unfit for humans and animals.

The owner of the residence surrendered the dogs to animal services.

All of the animals will be available for adoption starting Thursday, June 13.
