Donald (Don) Abrams, 64, of West Point, GA, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UAB, Birmingham, AL. Don was born August 5, 1954 in Sylacauga, AL to the late Ann and L. M. Abrams.  He proudly served his country and retired from the Army and Army Reserves with 24 years of service.  He was a beloved member of Dunson Baptist Church in LaGrange, GA.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kay Gordy Abrams; sons, Bryan (Anna) Abrams and Brandon Abrams; granddaughter, Emma Abrams;  brother, Kenneth (Flora) Abrams; and special Aunt Virginia Adams in Martinez, GA.

Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, August 1st, at 6 p.m. at Dunson Baptist Church, 5 Barnard Avenue, LaGrange, GA with dear friend and Pastor Kenneth Cole officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Relay for Life for Don’s 2020 Team or Camp Quest, a youth wilderness camp that Don was a Board Member of and it was dear to his heart.  Contributions can be mailed to Dunson Baptist Church, 5 Barnard Avenue. LaGrange, GA 30241
