Wylene McCann Taylor

1932-2020

Wylene McCann Taylor, 88, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, April 3, at her home.

Mrs. Taylor was born March 4, 1932, to the late William B. McCann and Addie Lee Britt McCann in LaGrange. She faithfully supported and served the ministry along with her husband, the late Dr. Ralph Taylor at Oakside Baptist Church, the Oakside Christian School, and the WOAK Christian Radio Station. 

Mrs. Taylor loved her family, cooking, sewing and knitting. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rudene Armstrong and Annette Hawkins.

Survivors include her children, Lawrence Allen (Sherry) Taylor, Sandra Taylor Presnal, and Faye Taylor; grandchildren, Tammy (Sammy) Bailey, Melissa (Brian) Maradik, Tracie (Joe) Presnal, Josh (Amanda) Carter, Eric (Melanie) Taylor, Ashley (Randall) Rushton, Amy (Daniel) Wallace, Jamie (Renee) Duran, Jodi (Rodney) Dale, and Jeff (Dawn) Duran; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (Larry) Williams; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, April 5, in Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Duran and the Rev. S.T. Janney officiated.

The family was at the home of Mrs. Wylene Taylor.
