Mrs. Rosie Mae Grissom of 1 Dennis Drive, born April 27, 1937, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at her home. A native of Franklin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Y.C. and Louise Brooks. 

Rosie was a graduate of Mary Johnson High School.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she served as a faithful usher until her health declined.  She was a faithful member of the St. Elizabeth Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and Esther Chapter #2. 

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jesse Wilbert Grissom, to this union six children were born.  Mrs. Grissom held employment with Kex Plant, the Plantation Restaurant and several other companies.  She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, her children, Mike, Margaret, Maurice, Willie, and a brother, Willie Frank Brooks.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Nathaniel) Harris; her son, Hollis Grissom; sister Mosie Brooks, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Graveside services for Rosie Mae Grissom will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Meadoway Gardens.  Rev. Walter Dowell will officiate.  Visitation was held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary.  Condolences may be expressed or you may sign the Guest Book at www.westgeorgiamortuary.com.
