The LaGrange Police Department announced via a press release that members of the LaGrange Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit conducted alcohol compliance checks within the city of LaGrange on Feb. 11. Sangitel Patel, a 34 year old, was issued a citation for furnishing alcohol to underage persons.

The following establishments were found out of compliance with the city ordinance related to underage alcohol sales:

• Citgo-103 on Commerce Avenue; Patel was issued a citation for the repeat offense
• Hop In-3124 on Hogansville Road; a warning was issued for a first offense
• Georgia Food Mart on 1001 Hogansville Road; a warning was issued for a first offense
• PCA Food Mart on 1200 Hogansville Road; a warning was issued for a first offense

The following establishments were found to be in compliance with the city ordinance by requiring identification:

• The Summit- 828 on N Greenwood Avenue
• 76 on 315 New Franklin Road
• Exxon on 203 New Franklin Road
• Happy Stop on 600 New Franklin Road
• JK Food Mart on 1109 New Franklin Road
• JK Package Store on 1109 New Franklin Road
• Circle K on 1503 Lafayette Parkway
• BP on 1499 Lafayette Parkway
• Racetrac on 1519 Lafayette Parkway
• Valero on 101 Hoffman Drive
• Marathon on 1740 Lafayette Parkway
• 777 on 412 Greenville Street
• Summit on 320 Commerce Avenue
