Wendell Lester, (79) of Greenville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 9, 2022, after a battle with dementia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Flournoy Lester; sons, Kevin (Tracey), Kyle (Belle) and Keith (Shellie), as well as grandchildren, Lexie and Logan Lester, Marleigh and Perry Lester, Page (Landon) Allen, and Adam, Ray and Gable McClure. 

He is also survived by his brother, Gene (Joan) Lester; his aunt Carolyn Lane, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Tina Renae Lester, and his parents, Perry and Virginia Lester.

At the age of 12, Mr. Lester was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church in Heard County, Georgia, and from that point forward, he served the Lord faithfully for the duration of his life. 

He last attended Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. Mr. Lester spent his career as a tool and die machinist. His passion since his teenage years was as a gunsmith, and his later hobby/business was as a paintball entrepreneur.

The family will receive friends at a visitation, which will be held at Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange, from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Callaway Baptist Church, 310 John Lovelace Rd. LaGrange, Georgia 30241 or to a favorite charity.
