Mrs. Etherine Whatley Allen passed away Thursday at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

She was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Willie and Lucille Whatley.

She united with Word of Grace Christian Center in LaGrange and graduated from Ethel Kight High School, Class of 1964.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Allen; daughter, Kim (Pless) Thornton; two sons:  Ramon (Freshana) Allen and Derrick (Ashley Ozley) Allen, all of LaGrange, Georgia; three grandchildren; two sisters:  Willie Kate Harden, LaGrange, Georgia and Rev. Gloria Moore, Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Rev. Hines Whatley, LaGrange, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Betty (Walter) Russell; two brothers-in-law:  Emmett Allen and Jerome (Pamer) Allen, all of LaGrange, Georgia; and an array of extended family and friends.

The service will be Tuesday at 1 P.M. at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  The excellent care of Mrs. Allen is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
