Mrs. Juanita Jacobs Darden, 96, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at The Reserve at Town Lake in Woodstock.

Mrs. Darden was born October 12, 1926, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Charlie Sherard Jacobs and Jessie Smith Jacobs. 

A graduate of Crawford W. Long School of Nursing in Atlanta, she was a retired registered nurse, having served at West Georgia Medical Center and as a private duty nurse. 

She was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God, enjoyed gardening and anything that bloomed, and was a generous person who loved caring for others.

Survivors include her daughters, Era Elaine Darden of Kennesaw, Diane Darden Grant and her husband Hershel Grant of Clayton; granddaughter, Christena Brostrom and her husband Eric Brostrom of Woodstock; and great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Brostrom and Charlotte Brostrom.

The funeral service will be 2 P.M., Thursday, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Mr. Burtis Hicks officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. Thursday, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.
