The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. MacArthur Hurston of Bronx, New York will be Saturday at 1:00pm at the Confidence Missionary Baptist Church on Colquitt Street.    Rev. Chalton Askew will officiate.   Burial will be in the Southview Cemetery.

Mr. Hurston, a native of Troup County, was born December 5, 1942 and was the son of the late Tom Hurston and Louise Askew Hurston.   He was a graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School and had made his home in New York for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Martha Maholme Hurston; daughters: Bernice “Bonnie” Morris Render; Mavis Maholme; son, Marcus Hurston; a number of grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Tommy Hurston, Willie Herman Hurston, Norris Hurston; and Genevieve Hurston Scott.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Bernice “Bonnie” Morris Render at 304 Ragland Street and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 7.
