The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. John Davis Favors of LaGrange was held on  Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the New Community Church on South Davis Road.  Pastor Hayes Clayton will officiate.   

Mr. Favors, a native of Meriwether County, was born November 28, 1956, and was the son of Mary Lee Burden Favors of Greenville and the late John Robert Favors.  He accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Paul Holiness Church, Alvaton, GA.    He later united with Souls for Christ Church of God In Christ under Pastor Hayes Clayton.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, nurse, caregiver, and soulmate, Quincy Butler Favors, LaGrange; three daughters: Lakeshia (Shon) Terrell, Hogansville; Guillermina Owens, Albany, GA; Christina Blanderburg, Marianna, FL; four sons, Antonio Favors, Greenville; Johnathan Favors, Union City, GA; Jermaine Blanderburg, Marianna, FL; and Arquez Williams, LaGrange; loving and devoted mother, Mary L. Favors, Greenville; sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mary (Lavell) Cobbs, Cleveland, OH; Carolyn (the late Homer) Reeves, Evangelist Brenda Colton, Margaret (Leroy) Moses, all of Greenville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tom Reeves, Greenville; Michael (Carol) Ford; Eunice Ford, Fairburn, GA; Debbie Ford, LaGrange; Mary Ford, LaGrange; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who loved him

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers: John R. Favors Jr. and Harrison Favors of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Barbara A. Reeves, Greenville; and brothers-in-law: Osic Butler, Vincent Ford, and Frank Ford Jr.

The family will be at their home at 1504 Mooty Bridge Road.
