Mrs. Ruby Lee Moore

Mrs. Ruby Lee Moore, age 104, of 730 Ridley Ave. died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Hospice Lagrange.  A native of Lagrange, Georgia, she was born December 28, 1914, to the late Willie and Emma Thornton  Doston.  She was the wife of the late Charlie Gene Moore.  Mrs. Moore was educated in the Public Schools.  She was well known for the love of Baking, caring for others and traveling.  She held employment with the Plantation Restaurant and Vendall Vending Company.  Mrs. Moore was a faithful member of First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. Survivors include her children, Willie Cooper and Betty Doston; her brother, Hillard Stanley of Jacksonville, Fla.; Grandchildren, Diane Bonner of Boston, Ma. and Chadrick Cooper of Lagrange; thirteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; special cousins and family, Tosca and Tonya Jordan of Columbus, Ohio, Jacquelyn Stanley, Peter Stanley of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ms. Juanita Harrell.  Special friends include, Betty Atkinson, Sara Lee Ford, Rev. Stanley Tucker, Mattie Katie Evans, Wayne and Patricia Pittman, Dorsey and Delores Brewer, Tony kennedy, Shirley Berry Calloway and Velma Truitt. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death in addition to her parents, a son, Clifford Hall; a brother, George Stanley; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Annie Cooper; and grandchildren, Barbara, Susan and Jefferey Cooper. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Moore will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. Dr. Clarence Sams will officiate with burial at the Family Plot at Southview Cemetery.  Viewing will begin on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Willie Cooper at 910 Colquitt Street.
