An altercation on Saturday night reportedly resulted in a substantial injury to a local man, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department. 

On Saturday around 7:40 p.m., the LPD responded to reports of a person who had been stabbed on the 200 block of East Crovat Street, according to a press release from LPD.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly made contact with the victim who said that he was involved in a dispute with his girlfriend, Brincess Gates, 32, which resulted in her stabbing him in his forearm leaving a substantial injury. Gates was arrested on the scene, charged with aggravated assault (FVA) and transported to the TCSO for processing.
